30 Days of Thanksgiving, Day 3: Being full

Since today is the end of Daylight Savings, I could talk about how wonderful it was to get an extra hour of sleep. That was pretty amazing, but something that was just as great was the feeling of being full.

I just came from dinner with a friend, and earlier today I had a potluck lunch at my church. There is something very comforting about eating with people you like. When I eat by myself, I tend to scarf my food like someone's about to take it away from me. When I eat with friends, there are people to listen to and people to talk to, so food is eaten more slowly and savored. It reminds me of what we're promised in heaven- an amazing feast. I can't even imagine how good that's going to be! For today however, I enjoyed good company, good conversation, and good food. It's hard to want much more than that!
